So after a very nice week up in MN seeing everyone up there I came up with a list of thoughts:
MN in January is wicked cold. I thought I did ok on the days we skied, but man when we saw the winter carnival I swore my appendages were going to freeze solid and fall off. I was tempted to take a bucket of water and throw it to see if it would freeze on the way down, but I didnt.
Lutsen mountain has some interesting definitions of safety. Being pulled by a rope with about a half dozen people in front of you up a pretty steep hill to get up to the lodge did not seem the safest. I'm not the strongest person in the world but I was struggling to hold on, what about the 10 year old two slots in front of me. I was morbidly half hoping someone would fall to see what would happen. (I did get some good pictures of Charles from my prone position in the sled behind the snowmobile taking a picture of Charles who was hanging on by a rope behind the sled.... got that?) I'll post that soon.
Do not close the damper while a fire is burning in the fireplace. Smoke ensues. Lots of it. Inside.
Finally, good friends = good times. These should be enjoyed. Thanks all for the memories =)
